We are expecting a new family from Azerbaijan on Tuesday, December 11th so we will be prepping their apartment over the next few days.
We are scheduling Monday the 1oth for a full setup. If you have availability please signup below. We’ll work in the morning for about 4 hours.
Thanks so much for your support.
Two mothers, one with a 4 year old son and one with a 3 year old son are currently awaiting their asylum trials. They were separated from their children at the border and are currently prohibited from working. All four have been traumatized by the recent separation. We are urgently seeking volunteers to assist making weekly visits, providing basic clothing and household items and/or making a financial contribution. Spanish language skills are a major plus!
A new family from Colombia is arriving next week and we will be preparing their new home in Elizabeth. It’s a mom, dad and 3 year old son moving into a 2-bedroom apartment.
We will spend a few hours this Saturday, February 2nd starting at 10AM, cleaning and stocking and decorating the apartment.
We also need at least one volunteer to meet Saturday morning at 9am at our Secaucus storage facility to help load all of the household items we have collected for this family and help transport to Elizabeth.
Thanks for your support!
